This role presents a fantastic opportunity to join our brand new UX/UI team at Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group. You will have the opportunity to significantly impact the growth and overall success of the future trajectory of the newly formed UX/UI team.

The successful UX Designer will help pioneer their end-to-end user design around Watson-Marlow's products. The successful candidate will be the 2nd employee within their UX/UI Global Team. As the UX Designer, you will have the chance to get hands on with all-new Greenfield opportunities.

  • Provide UX/UI supporting and inputting to all the NPD projects as required.
  • Researching, designing, prototyping user-centric designs with rapid testing and iteration.
  • Supporting Software Engineers and Product teams to evolve designs during discovery and understanding how designs translate to delivery/implementation.
  • Designing and innovating solutions within our product areas like Artificial Intelligence model creation, Data Design, IT Service Management, DevOps, and Continuous Integration.
  • Pro-actively looking at developments in UI and UX technologies and how these could be utilised by Watson-Marlow both now and in the future.
  • Absorbing and collating differing amounts of product & customer information and turn it into a concise summary to allow issues to be easily understood and conveyed.
  • Able to listen and interpret requirements and relay them to the NPD teams and others, to challenge, filter, ensuring clarity and test theories.


  • Extensive experience of successful UX/UI implementation.
  • Ability to accurately assess key market trends from multiple perspectives and implement into designs.
  • Proven experience in inspiring creative ideas and working successfully with product owners.
  • UX/UI Project Management Experience.
  • Proven track record in interaction/UI/UX/visual design.
  • Familiarity with software platforms such as Sketch, Figma, Photoshop (or equivalent UX/UI industry standard tools)
  • Proven strategic and critical thinking capabilities across business/technology vision, solutions, strategy, roadmaps, and portfolio delivery.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design standards.
